OnePlus, a Shenzhen-based Chinese smartphone manufacturer has been open about the idea to launch a smartphone that could easily connect to 5G. It has also revealed that the phone will be released in Europe at the beginning of 2019. On the other hand, Samsung, a South Korean multinational company, has also confirmed to launch a 5G smartphone in the first half of 2019 but to be the first, the company will have to hurry.

OnePlus revealed that the phone will be launched in 16 different UK cities and it will be achieved with the help of a new partnership with the UK network EE, a mobile network operator and internet service provider. The BT-owned operator has been ambitious to be the first to launch a 5G phone.

The CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau announced the launching of the phone with EE at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit 2018. Although he did not confirm the exact date of the release, he did confirm that the device will use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855.
The name of the 5G phone was also not confirmed by Pete Lau, although it is expected to be OnePlus 7 or OnePlus 7T, depending on whether the company launches one or two smartphones in 2019.

It may be possible that OnePlus decides to release 5G phones separately. The price of the 5G phone is rumored to be a 100 dollars more than the
regular OnePlus phones. However, it won’t be long before we hear more about the specifications and price of the device.
