Coolpad is returning to India with some good news. Coolpad has set Thursday, December 20, as the D Day for launching Coolpad’s Mega series
smartphones. The Chinese company announced that there would be three smartphones in the series and they are all geared up to launch this week. With its launch date close to Christmas and at the heels of a new year, the Chinese manufacturer hopes to make some profit out of the year end festivities.
Coolpad’s new Mega series is supposed to be the successor of the Mega 5 smartphone that was launched earlier this year in mid August with a price tag of Rs. 6,999. The price of the new Mega series of Coolpad is yet to be announced although judging by the price tag of Coolpad’s smartphone range, it is unlikely to be too high as Coolpad mostly caters to an affordable range of smartphones.
Chinese phone brands in India have experienced a recent surge, which might have encouraged Coolpad to market their recent Mega series as “India exclusive”, which means, that Coolpad had the Mega series designed keeping in mind the needs of the Indian market. Coolpad also seeks to strengthen their footing in this country with the Mega range of smartphones. “ We are pleased to share the news that Coolpad Is looking forward to make a strong comeback in the Indian market,” the Chinese brand released in a statement.
The Mega series’ price tag or variants and detailed specifications are as of yet, unknown.
