Qualcomm Rolls Out New Snapdragon 8CX Processor

Qualcomm has always lead the pack for mobile processors with its mobile processors that are small, fast and powerful that are designed to combine advanced features and support for worldwide network connectivity with high speeds and great power efficiency. It has some of the fastest processors out there. Now recently, at its annual technology summit in Hawaii, Qualcomm announced it’s new processor the Snapdragon 8cx processor with a 7 nanometer (nm) design which shall be used in personal computers. It is the world’s first 7 nanometer PC platform. For graphics, it shall be using Qualcomm Adreno 680 GPU. The
memory interface on the Snapdragon 8cx has been bumped up from 64-bit to 128-bit wide thereby almost doubling it, which will ensure better performance compared to previous computer chipsets from the company. By third quarter of 2019, it will be available to its customers for use of one of the fastest processors out there.

The Snapdragon 8cx is an eight-core processor with Qualcomm’s new Kryo 495 CPU allowing for better productivity and faster multi-tasking. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 LTE modem and thus supports Gigabit LTE. It is the first to support quick charge technology; along with that has the new Qualcomm Aqstic audio technology. It supports second generation USB 3.1 over Type C and third generation PCI-E. Users can
connect up to two 4K HDR monitors to PC. Along with a very fast processor, the company spokesperson assures that Qualcomm processor shall provide its users with multi-day battery life and multi-gigabit connectivity, in a new thin, light and fanless design.
