Xiaomi has come up with the Xiaomi Mi Car Charger Basic with a Fast Charging Support and a Quick Charge 3.0 for the Indian market. This follows in heels of Xiaomi’ Mi Car Charger launch in India with Xiaomi Mi Car Charger Basic being regarded as the successor to Xiaomi’s Mi Car Charger and a potential chance for Xiaomi to strengthen its foothold in the Indian car accessories industry. The Mi Car Charger Basic is available for sale on the Mi’s Indian website with a discount of Rs 100 from the original price of Rs 599, which is seen as a marketing strategy to lure in customers with the price now being listed at Rs 499 on Mi India website.
In conformity with the design of most car chargers in the market, Mi Car Charger Basic has a cylindrical design and a black exterior and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging and allows two phones to charge side by side through its dual USB ports, much like the features available in its predecessor, Xiaomi’s Mi Car Charger. The Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging facility is available on only one port, which has been coloured red for identification and facilitates fast charging up to 18w.
Mi’s compatibility across different platforms and brands of smartphones like Apple, HTC, Google, etc and its compatibility with both the 12V and 14V DC sockets found in cars, makes it popular among users and allows the brand to market its product to a wider audience.
